Default exhaust

just installed a mbrp 3 inch exhaust (from flange at y pipe to tail pipe), slight drown in cab, improved gas mileage by 1 to 1.5, noticeable increase in power.

I have the 6.2 W Roush exhaust and it sounds great! BUT the drone is horrific! any way to fix this or just replace it?

I need to change this out soon; I want it loud but not rappy and when I roll up the window I would like to hear my ****ty quiet sony stereo! lol

I put the Roush kit on my '13 5.0 SCAB. Had the same drone issue.
I went this route and it completely cured the problem...like driving 2 different vehicles before and after.

Wow, that's pretty interesting. With my Gibson rig, I retained the factory resonator. No heavy drone, only some noise when you snap and hold the throttle. If you are interested, I have a slightly used Gibson aluminized cat- back system that will fit your truck if it is either SCREW or SCAB and 5.5' bed, 2011 thru 2014. I liked it well enough that I went back with the stainless kit.

If all your trying to do is gain power, save your money! The setup you have is just fine. Your not going to feel a difference from one high flow muffler to the next or with just running an X pipe.

You could do a set of headers and squeeze a few more hp from the truck though.

I like my SS MagnaFlow 1 into 2 dumped out the right behind the tire. It is noisy enough without being too outrageous or droning.
