Exactly good sound, affordable, and doesn't wake the neighbors nothin better than that.

Same thing here. Except super 10 SIDO with raptor tail pipes. And it does wake the neighbors haha. But it's cool cause my neighbor races a trophy truck.

TOTALLY... change my mind. After researching ALL the Youtube sound clips and videos from Exhaust Manufactures. I changed my exhaust system on me 2013 Ecoboost to a BORLA, dual exhaust with 4" chrome tips.. NO drone in the cab at all when just cruising. I like the way you can hear the Turbos whistle at an idle.... Ya gotta love that sound... Actually the only time you can really hear the Borla "sound"... is when you drop the hammer....LOL... I purchased the Borla 40348 Pro-X muffler (2 1/2" inlet & outlets) from Amazon $99.97. Went to a local Muffler shop, installation of 2 - 2 1/2" tail pipes, 2 - 18" long Chrome 4" tips and a piece from the Y pipe to the muffler $321.00 out the door....

Just bought a Gibson 9210 system, just over $300.00 from MVP. Check 'em out on eBay. Most likely, next weekend's project if it gets here. I will post results as they are available. Anyone else have experience with a Gibson system?

I have a 2012 XLT 5.0 Super Cab and just installed the Flowmaster Force II Cat-back single side exit exhaust. Install took about 2 hrs with a buddy of mine (he's more mechanically inclined than myself). The only hurdle was getting the old exhaust out, but we managed.

As for the sound, it's exactly what I was looking for! I didn't want that overly loud noise, but I wanted to really wake up the 5.0 and get it to sound like it should. Upon start up, it's got a really nice growl. Under moderate acceleration, you can tell it's there, but it's not going to turn everyone's head. When you really get on it, it sounds deep and great!

The truck is finally getting to where I want it to be - already leveled it with Bilstein 5100's and put on some 33" Duratracs. Next step will be a tuner.

I am glad to hear about your Flowmaster system. My installation also took about 2 hours. I was able to get the stock muffler out without cutting it. I may not reuse it, but you never know. If you were to replace with stock from Ford, it would cost over $500.00 for the part. Reading your writing, I would say that the two systems sound very similar. I know the throttle is snappier. The sound in the cab went up about 2db when you hit the throttle. Cruising around 60 or 70 rpm, I can still hear those Wilderness ATs more than the exhaust. The system sounds throatier, but it really isn't much louder. I have a slight tonal at around 1800 RPM. For me, that is a transition speed anyway. My installation left the resonator in place.

Default Magnaflow 16523 SIDO

I installed the single in/dual out right rear cat back system. It looks great and sounds great really adding value to the truck. The truck used to have an ugly tail pipe sticking out the side now it has two rolled stainless tips.

I am glad to read that others are modifying their exhaust systems in the same manner that I have. I am curious to read about perceived (or real) increases in horsepower, changes in decibel level in the cab and of course any improvement (or decline) in fuel mileage.
