Then the Borla on my last F150..

All three trucks ran a 5.4L under the hood..
Which Borla system/mufflers did you have?

Also, price is not a factor in my exhaust decision...does that change any of the recommendations?

I have a 2008 with a 5.4L, my system consists of a flowmaster 40 series 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlet with one outlet behind each rear wheel, 3.5" x 18" slash cut tips. System sounds mean! It's loud but not obnoxious. I love the way it sounds, but during trips and my highway commutes to work the interior resonance is starting to become very annoying. I've been running this same setup on my trucks since i've been able to drive, so I'm going to try out a 70 series muffler.

As far as performance goes: on my 97' F-150 4.6L when I installed this system it sounded great, but off the line it lost a little bit. Did not notice a change in mileage. On my 2008 with the 5.4L, it sounded great as expected. Noticed a slight performance improvement all around, and mileage may be slightly better as long as you drive normal.

I posted once upon a time ago in this thread voting for flowmaster, but now I've seen the light and my answer is now for Borla!

^^ Borla makes a good piece, if they offered a dual tip dumped in front of the rear axel passenger side I'd have bought another Borla..

Does anyone know if the corsa db from a 2010 f150 would fit a 08 f150, both trucks are supercrews with 6'6" box

Default Roush Performance

Last week i put Roush Performance on my 2013 fx2 6.2L. I couldn't be happier. I also heard from the aftermarket guy at my dealership that American Racing makes headers that supposably add around 40Hp and obviously adds to the acoustics of the exhaust. "out the door for $300" is what he quoted me.

Flowmaster 40 series one in two out. great sound especially when you take off, but not overly obnoxious like a glass pack
