Anybody here running the borla sportsman xr1 muffler(s)? Im gonna be running a SISO 3 inch system and might go with the xr1 15 inch round body muffler. I cant find any videos on them and im afraid it might be too loud for my liking.

I am about to get a cat-back for my 2012 SC XLT 5.0 .. and I've got it down to one of these two:-

1.
MagnaFlow Exhaust Products 15461 Stainless Steel Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System MagnaFlow Exhaust Products 15461 Stainless Steel Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System

2.
Gibson Performance Exhaust 69210 Stainless Steel Dual Sport Cat-Back Exhaust System Gibson Performance Exhaust 69210 Stainless Steel Dual Sport Cat-Back Exhaust System

Both have a very good reviews .. but my guts is telling me to go with the Magnaflow .. i really don't know .. if anyone have the same setup here .. please advice .. which one will be louder .. which one will have the better tone .. which one is more durable .. AND ARE THESE TWO CATBACKS ARE A BOLT ON INSTALLATION OR WILL I HAVE TO DO ANY WELDING?

Regards.

I have a 2011 fx2 and I am looking for an exhaust. I'm having a hard time comparing the different sound levels with eachother. Does anyone know the decibel levels for these exhaust? Or at least put them in order from so I am able to compare noise levels. I am open to any brand of exhaust. The ones I have been looking at are:

Magnaflow
Flow master
Solo Performace (Mach x and 4")
Stainless works
Hearthrop (I'm particularly interested in this one)
Im open to many others too

The noise I'm looking for is deeper. A little louder but nothing crazy at all. Just looking to make my Ecoboost stop sounding like a blender. Thanks guys!

i can only speak for the heartthrob, but I can say it does exactly what youre looking for. good idle, good acceleration noise, no drone now that its broken in, and if i have the stereo on i barely hear it. the only time you ever hear it in the cab is right above 2k rpm or when youre outside the truck. I honestly couldn't be happier. Ill also add the the noise inside and outside are pretty different. It doesn't sound half as deep and good inside as it does outside... lousy sound insulation...

I can comment on the noise levels of what I've run over the years..

Magnaflow dumped in front of rear axel passenger side on current ride is the loudest by far..

Next I think would be the Flowmaster on my first F150, duals out the back..

Then the Borla on my last F150..

All three trucks ran a 5.4L under the hood..
