Magnaflow or borla mufflers are what you're looking for

I have some 13" flowmaster, which sounds alright, but is kind of choked up. It is 2.5" piping and 3.5" tip. I like is because it's quiet inside and has no vibration, however, it takes a lot of power away compared to my bullet. I like the bullet cause it's louder and deeper, but it vibrates more because i have no tailpipe. It gets better MPG and power. I switch between the two every time I change moods between race and luxury, haha. What should I make permanent?

Default Borla S-Type

Went with a Borla S-Type on my 5.0. It's not super loud under acceleration and no drone on highway; it's perfect. It definitely rumbles when you want it to, but it has some manners. Based on what I bought I imagine the ATAK is a lot louder and may be too loud for most. Don't expect your 5.0 to sound like a Mustang this definitely has the truck rumble to it.

No, I'm not that technologically advanced. I do like it very much. It isn't as loud as I was expecting. I'm told that the stock catilytic converters restrict it enough to lower the sound. The Streetmax DIDO muffler has an X-pipe configuration and you can see all the way through when looking from one end of the muffler to the other. That was the reason for the purchase. True dual exhaust, x pipe, and only having to buy 1 muffler. The pipes exit through 4" tips behind the passenger rear tire and I have no in cab drone.

I just had the Borla ATAK system installed on a 2010 FX2 4.6l. Great sound.

I just had the Borla ATAK system installed on a 2010 FX2 4.6l. Great sound. Yeah they said it's for a 5.0L but it performs and sounds great. But some what expensive. I got mine on ebay for $880 compared to $1000 plus. $80 install. Check youtube for F150 Borla Atak sounds. There's one that has a camera attached to the back. It's the sound.

I have the Jegs (by Heartthrob) 4" cat-back on my 2011 F150 EcoBoost. I think I has the best performance. A 6 cyl engine will never have the "right" sound, but its the best you can get with this setup.
