Ok, so I'm about to purchase a 4" heartthrob. Is anyone seeing a big increase in power or does it just make that eco boost sound better? @LocDown, why did you get rid of the heartthrob muffler?

I've read that it had a drone between 1500-2000 and that would be my main cruising rpm. I never installed the heart throb muffler so i don't know if it's actually true or not. Right now, my friends say my exhaust sounds good.

Your Mod Superstore!
Interesting, and assuming you have no drone right now with the Mflow?

2012 supercrew also.I have a 2002 5.4 supercrew with duals that I driven for 10 years with 256000 miles on it and sounds great but I couldn't tell when this one was running. So I decided on the heartthrob system. It sounds good but no where near as good as the V8 which I expected. But the ecoboost will walk away from it in a hurry. So it was a trade off.

I'm leaning heavily towards the Magnaflow route... Just going with a SI/SO muffler (14" x 4" x 9"). From what I'm seeing here, no drone..correct? I have gone the Flowmaster route on a few vehicles, and the drone gets old. I want something that will give it some tone when I put my foot in it, but quiet when cruising.
Those with no cats, how bad does it drone now?

I have a 06 f150 crewcab with the 5.4. I purchased the MBRP dual exhaust system from auto anything. Have to say my brother in law likes it better than his roush ex system. Install was easy, price wasn't to bad either. Hardly any drone at all and the tone is perfect as far as I'm concerned.
