A Custom Tune Vs. The Canned Tune

I would rather have a custom tune but I like the idea of being able to change the tune when I want. So with that said I'm looking at the MPT and the 5-star tune both using the sct device. Both sound good and MPT has a dyno result showing good numbers. Anyone have experience with ether one or both?
I'm running custom tunes from 5* using an SCTx4, while I was waiting for the custom tunes I ran the canned ones and there was a noticeable improvement but when I loaded the custom, DAMN what a difference.
You can get one with a powertrain warranty as well.

Don't mean to resurrect and old thread, but I have a question about this subject obviously. Haha....
Well anyway my question is I have a JET Performance Module under the hood, a Banks RAM Air Intake, and a FlowMaster exhaust. Would it be beneficial to reprogram the truck to adhere to the modifications I listed?
I also have a JET Performance Programmer I can use to adjust accordingly.

got the sct x4 from unleashed and it unleashed the beast in my truck. cant believe the difference. havent had a chance to get to the dyno yet but its a different truck now. free tune revisions too. their customer service is great too. i emailed them wanting a softer 2-3 gear shift and within half an hour i had the updated tune. definitely recommend

Thread necromancy!!
Old thread but there seems to be knowledgeable people here WRT tuners.
I have a '13 SCab 5.0 still under warranty, has anyone had problems getting warranty service directly related to having a tuner? Do you return your tune to stock for every service visit, and can the dealer tell you've been re-writing the PCM and deny service?
Also, for anyone dealing with negative temperatures during winter, do you have a custom winter tune and a summer tune? Would it be worth using up a custom tune slot for a generic winter tune?

Well... reading this thread makes me wonder if I'm running the right tune on my truck (2013 5.0 XLT Screw). I have the Diablosport Intune and I am currently running the 91 tune. I have the Roush CAI and no other mods. I have had the 93 tune on it 2 times (using 93 gas) and didn't really like it cuz it down shifted very aggressively. so my question... is there any chance I'm running lean?

Hello. Got a few questions on the SCT-X4 tuner I just got for my 01 F150 SCREW with a 5.4. According to the manual there is supposed to be a tow tune for gas models, but all I see is the octane tunes. Am I missing something or is that it? I've e-mailed SCT twice with no reply, kind of disappointed, as they come so highly recommended. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
