I run a,modified, k&n Blackhawk set up. I put it on two days before went on vacation so not a whole lot of road time yet, but I did notice a slight difference. Throttle response is better and it sounds like it is breathing better going through the rpms. I'm happy with it and it only cost me $65 so not going to complain.

I've been on the gotts mod bandwagon ever since I bought my truck last June. Recently I came across a guy selling a K&N FIPK on craigslist. He had no clue what it was and said he found it in the attic of his house when he recently bought it. Well all the parts were there and in good shape I may add too. So i gave him $50 for it lol.
So far I have been pleasantly surprised with it. Like most people say I am getting increased throttle response and a nice grumble from under the hood. The biggest surprise is that my IATs have gone down. With the gotts mod I was getting 8-12 deg over ambient. Now I am consistently under 5 and often as low as 2 over ambient. Crazy!

I had the gotts mod,as I was putting my filter back in I broke the housing and advanced auto had k&n intakes on sale so I am impressed with it,k&n offers your money back if it does not increase your horsepower.

I just installed the Roush Cold air intake #421238 on my 2013 5.0 SCREW. I was already running the Diablosport 91 tune, but NO other mods for about a year and this intake REALLY woke up the beast. But... (the intake is loud as F***). With that being said it is still a good sound, it is not annoying the way loud exhaust is. It is a grumble not a pop. I like it.

Did you choose the Blackhawk over the other one just because of the color? Also what engine and year is it? I have a 15' lariat fx4 5.0 and I bought the other intake not the black one. I'm wondering if I made the right decision. I went with the chromed one just because numbers were a little higher (more HP more torque).
