It will roar like a raped ape at first til you get the exhaust. Loud as hell at WOT. Sounds pretty friggin mean.

I ordered a Banks intake for $399 from autoanything, waiting on a order confirmation and shipping info. Will post pics installed when it arrives, hopefully I can get the truck to the exhaust shop later this week as well.

Like most intakes, you dont hear it until you get the revs up and/or give it some gas. Going up hill on the freeway today it was a little noisey whenever I accelerated to get around slower traffic (it has a deep sound to it,) but for most normal driving you will never hear it.

Have the K&N 77. Noticed the increased jump in the truck but after the edge programmer was added it is a whole different truck.

Just got off the phone with Crystal from Troyer Performance. Just ordered their last 3.5" AF1 with the SCT tuner. Now to give them the information they want from me lol.

Default Sct Programmer

I have the SCT on both my car and truck. the difference is very noticable

Both cars come alive with a power increase but thats not all. Response is better shift is stronger and shift points seem to be better.

fuel economy is better only if I keep my foot out of the throttle. ;-)
for me thats usually using the cruise control. I get my best gas savings in cruise I have a led foot!!!!!! agressive driver.

I used the hypertech on my 2003 f150 2wd and the change in performance wasn't as strong as with my 2008 Ford edge or on my 2008 f150
the difference between the trucks:
2003
4.6 v8
2wd
stock rims and tires
cat back exhaust
K&N cai
Hypertech programmer
some increase in power, much better shift

2008 f150 4x4
5.4
lifted 5" " with 35x13 toyo on 18" rims
same set up except I used the sct X3 tuned by Evolution Performance
http://www.evoperform.com
Big difference
The cold air intake and the exhaust are a must for the programmer to work well
