I turned my weatherstrip around and it arcs outward now, like yours.I have to look again to be sure but, my bale clips appear to be plastic. I don't think I will mess with this anymore. After deleting my resonator maybe I increased back pressure?

Resonator is a Straight-thru Design
IMPO, I do not believe that removing the resonator really changes much of anything concerning backpressure. The resonator on my truck is a straight- thru design, just like my Gibson muffler. In fact, their design looks very similar, at least to the naked eye. I believe that the resonator only provides an expansion chamber to smooth out the variations in exhaust flow and pressure. Other guys have added lengths of pipe due to tonals after removing their resonators to do just this same thing.

Has anyone had any experience or tried one of these yet? Something to look at for those budget minded folks?

Airaid Jr. w/ dry filter on my 2014 F-150 5.0 4x4 STX SCrew. Chose it because I didn't want to risk running lean or voiding warranty, and really was only looking for a little increase in engine sound. Now that I have been running it for a while now, my thoughts are 1) Has a great sound, gives the engine an aggressive sound on acceleration, but is quiet for normal driving, 2) I seemed to have gained around 1 mpg, however, that may just be due to the engine getting broken in, but I average 17.5 mpg mixed city/highway and I drive typically 5-10 over the limit with mild to moderately aggressive throttle input. 3) I definitely have noticed a slight increase in power/throttle response. I do not think I lost any low end either.
Highly recommended! Especially for the money.

K&N or Volant CAI?
I'm in the market for a CAI for my 2012 5.0 F150. I've narrowed it down to two options. K&N 63 Series and Volant Fast Fit. Does anyone have either of these?
