Finally got around to adding a CAI to my truck, mostly for the sound. I installed the airaid on my 2006 5.4L. Adds a good throaty old school sound. Not sure about any actual HP gains but it does seem to respond a bit quicker when I step on it.

IMO, I think it is fine. I have installed cai & exhaust on my '13 5.0 with 16k miles. I am not sure about a tuner, however.

Put my S&B CAI on yesterday...really simple to do, took about 45 minutes tops. I did watch a U-Tube video first though. Not sure if it's my imagination or not but my 5.4 L felt peppier when on the go pedal. It did make a pretty significant sound difference also. I am really curious on how it will sound when I put my cat-back flow masters on Ina couple of weeks ? I am also going to do the SXT 4 with 5 star at the same time. This truck is not my daily driver...just weekends and hunting season...but I can already tell my gas use is going to increase, foot seems to get heavier the better it sounds.

ya if you ever put intake OR EXHAUST kit,It just make the truck that much more a truck who wants a truck that doesn't have that howel of those V8's-V13's.18 wheels all the way.

Default K&N 63 Series air charger kit

On my 2013 5.0 F150 I noticed an immediate performance boost, throttle body response. I'm really happy with it. Not much for fuel economy though, like maybe .5 mpgs. It also is nice because it's loud when you get on it and pretty quiet otherwise.
