Have you noticed a drop in fuel economy?

I'm thinking about purchasing a Volant CAI myself. I'm not sure how sealed a CAI is when it just forms to the hood. I think a fully enclosed unit would be "colder" IMO.

I have the intake with the scoop attachment. The scoop pulls air from under the motor. My programmer shows the intake temp is the same as the ambient temp my truck reads. A true cold air intake.

By chance, are you only running the K&N, or have you done any other mods? I have a 2013 F150 3.6L EB and the only CAI I've been given a rec on is the Afe ($429..crap!). I'm still hanging on the decision, whether to do a CAI, chip mod, or Cat Back, or a combo of all/one/none. Info differs as do results, so still looking for definative guidance. I may be resigned to just doing nothing but "bling" on the outside.

Volant is basically what I've decided to get before I started reading this and I think I'll still be getting one. I'll check out AutoAnything and see what the price is to get it shipped to Canada.
