Apple CarPlay Review by AutoAnything
Apple CarPlay is an in-car interface designed by Apple. It’s how you get your favorite iPhone features to display directly in your dash. Music, Navigation, Phone and Messages are all at your fingertips, and you can control everything using your voice, via Siri. CarPlay will be included in many new vehicles starting in 2015/2016, and it can be added to older vehicles using an aftermarket stereo that supports Apple CarPlay.

Seems like you have to have an iPhone to use any of the features. I don't like that I would be tied to one vendor for something that would hopefully last much longer than my current phone.
I like the tie-in to a smartphone but I will wait for one that is vendor-neutral.

Seems like a great product for anyone in the Apple ecosystem (like me!). Would like to see it in action to make a decision. Maybe CarPlay 2.0...
