Default Chrome exhaust tip removal

I have a 2018 FX4 and I can’t figure out how to get the exhaust tip off. I don’t have the clamp like others I’ve seen. I want to replace it with a black 4” tip but I don’t want to cut it off behind the factory tip In case that’s too far back.

I thought I’ve read about that before but I couldn’t find it. Wasn’t sure just how hot I gotta get that bad boy.

until you can pull it off i would guess you don't have to make it glow, a minute or two with a blowtorch and you should be ok. i'd have the torch in my off hand and a pair of whatever in my dominant hand slightly pulling on it until it breaks free.

He has the tip with the clamp on it. Mine doesn’t have that but I’m gonna try a torch and some brute force! Wanted to make sure it was not impossible to remove before wasting my time lol. If it doesn’t slip off the I’m breaking out the sawzall!

no lol. I haven’t even tried yet. I was out of butane. I figured using my large torch probably wouldn’t be a good idea lol.
