Default Cargo net for groceries?

I'm in Canada and looking for something to hold my groceries in the bed so they don't roll around, and are easy accessible. I think a cargo net would be perfect, but I'm not sure what it would attach to on the sides.

Should I take my truck to an auto parts place and they can suggest something? Or the dealer? Or just order something online?

I've got the OE bed extender like Hardcore has in the picture in his post above.

However, I was recently way up north in New Joisey visiting my sister and her hubby. They have a 2013 with a 6.5' bed and wanted something to hold stuff in place in the back of the bed. They've got an aftermarket bed liner, but my OE one has similar "slots" on the sides. I think even if you don't have a bed liner that the bare sidewalls have similar slots.

Below is a picture of what I made for my b-in-law. I was thinking of getting a 2x6, but it didn't seem high enough. When I looked at a 2x8 and 2x10 they seemed kinda heavy.

I ended up getting a 1x10. I cut the ends to fit in the slots of his bed, then screwed some of the board I trimmed off on each end to thicken it up so it fits nicely into the slots.

The 1x10 is plenty strong to hold stuff in place, and it's light enough so my sister can easily pull it out if she needs to load something large in the bed.

Overall, it's cheap and works good!!!

I run a wratchet strap across the two tie down points. If you want to put a little more in then you can losen the strap up some plus I always have something to tie larger pieces of cargo in my bed and its relatively cheap.

I found a pretty cheap solution. Bought a bed extender on CL for $30, plasti dipped it and mounted it with a couple 3/8"x1 1/2" bolts for another $1.50 and now I have a fully functional Factory extender. I have a 2012 super crew and this extender was for an 04-08 f150 bit made it work. These things are all over CL for super cheap being that they go for $200+. Below is the link to how I did it.

I have a DU-HA rear under seat storage unit and attached a cargo net to the LH inside of it.

When needed the LH rear seat is raised, the net is brought-out for use, and the seat is lowered.

Also have the bed entender and have another cargo net that can be attached to that as well.

I just use a couple of plastic tubs. With the bed mat they don't scoot around.

Wow, I'm sorry I haven't checked back on this thread until now, some really great suggestions, thank you everyone!

KR Kodi now I'm curious if my bedliner has those slots, I've never noticed them before so I'll have to check. I'm tempted to go out now but it's past midnight, I'm already in my jammies and it's darn cold outside! So it will have to wait until tomorrow

FLiPinoy916 I clicked the link but there was nothing in the thread other than "Updated" twice. And I'm anxious to see what you did! Was there some photos removed on the link you posted?

Thanks again everyone, still struggling with a cargo net/gate of some sort. The one I want of course is $300, too rich for simply hauling groceries!
