Can't find a straight answer. Will a leveling kit have a big impact on handling?
I'm looking to get AutoSpring's 2" leveling kit. Not only for aesthetics, but because I work in the oil field and can definitely use the ground clearance, as well as clearance for larger tires.
Its a brand new FX4, so I am a bit hesitant to go toying with it too much. I am trying to do my homework, but I find very mixed reviews on how even a small leveling kit might effect the ride quality. I spend equally as much time on the highway, so it is important as well.
I have read the pro's and con's thread. I guess I'm looking for first hand experience and maybe even reviews specifically on this kit

I have an equivalent product on my front end, offset steel spacers. My truck was out of alignment afterwards but once aligned handling felt the same. Just a bit more sway in the turns. I used an AAL for the rear end though, so trucks rear end firmed up, possibly making the front end sway more perceptible. Feels otherwise unchanged. Truck had 4k miles on it when I installed. 13 SCAB 4x4 6.5 bed.

A leveling kit will could only void any warranty claims against the front suspension, where the kit is installed.

The manufacturer has to show that an aftermarket part caused a failure in order to void the warranty coverage of that failure. In practice, the dealer is the arbiter of that unless you want to sue. In short: it's up to your dealer. If the mechanic says a part failed because of the lift, it's not going to be covered.

the truck will be higher, handling will change (usually not for better), same as all the sports cars trying to keep their body low to the ground.
find a dealer that can do the install for you so they can honor the warranty.

Pro Comp 2" Leveling Kit
Hi. I have a 2013 Screw Cab 4x4 Platinum. I went with a Pro Comp 2" steel spacer made for my vehicle. I have 20x9 inch wheels with a 5" back spacer. Pro Comp chrome wheels, series 6051. I have Toyo Open Country M/T tires that are 295/55/20. In the rear I went with the air lift suspension assist. That way I can adjust the height depending on whether I am towing or I have a heavy load. The tires do sing a little and the ride is a little stiffer but I like it. It is a truck and not a car. As with any adjustment to the suspension, you need to be careful when first driving, to get use to the changes. I had to trim a very small amount of plastic from the air dam, but you'd have a hard time noticing it. If you would like send me a PM. I'll send you my number and we can talk. I hate this texting. Also, I am a police officer for 35 years. So I do have a little experience with what can cause an accident. Take care and stay safe....

My 2013 Fx2 has a 2" ZONE leveling kit along with 33's. In simple terms: Yes your ride quality will be slightly worse than stock but it's not near as bad as anyone makes it seem. If you do decide to get a leveling kit I would highly recommend getting larger tires too. For me, I went with Nitto Terra Grapplers so those alone make my ride "worse" but it's hard to say what is because of the tires and what is from the leveling kit. I feel like I have to take my turns slightly wider than before but it's no big deal, it will definitely give your truck that "off road feel/look." At the end of the day, the ride changes are very minimal although you will loose 1-2 mpg depending on your tires. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Just from my personal experience ill share. I did an autospring 2.5" leveling kit in the front and left the rear factory. I drove it for a couple with with the factory 20" wheels and tires to see how the level would ride/handle ect. i noticed basically zero change in handling characteristics. When i put my wheels and tires on (18" xd monsters and 285/70/18 toyo open country M/T's (load range E) i noticed a pretty big change in ride. much more rough in the front and a slight bit of the road bumps felt in the steering wheel at highway speeds. i have to deduce that it is due to the load range e tires because the ride was uneffected prior to those with the lift on. so depending on your needs i would say go with the level and do your homework on tires that fit your needs/driving needs. as a side note the 2.5 is probably slightly higher than the rear so either a 2" or a rear lift would make it ride truly level. just my 2 cents

I also have a 2.5" Autospring level on my FX4 and have noticed little, to no difference in handling. It feels a little different because the view is different out of the cab, but I can't say I feel a difference in ride quality. I added Terra Grapplers when I raised the front, but I forgot the size. I think they're 305/xx/20. They are stock height, but wider and they're on stock rims.
