Default Bull Bar or Prerunner Light Bar?

Hey guys, I can't decide between a Hunter Bull Bar and a Prerunner Bar. I like the look of the Prerunner Bar, but I think an LED Light strip would look odd on it (compared to the KC HiLites). I think the Bull Bar would provide more protection but it doesn't look as good. I've got an all black 2013 FX4 with a Raptor grill if that makes any difference. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I think pics of the original truck and choice of options would help.

Both bars look great, especially the prerunner in the one photo which resembles your ride. One note on the bull bar, you will probably lose the tow hooks, if going off road, they may come in handy. Does anyone know of a bull bar, when mounted, that does not call for the removal of the tow hooks?

Since you already have the tow hooks, a bull bar should be an easy install. On the 13's without the hooks, it's a pain in the rear.

The Setina PB400 lets you keep the hooks. I'm still vacillating on getting it, but you don't see the Setina too often as it's actually a push bar that many police use. So it's functional too. They have an aluminum version and a steel one, and it comes in half- and full-grille sizes.

A bull bar like Westin or Aries isn't really going to offer much protection either unless you're just talking about bumping something in a parking lot. Any kind of collision or animal strike at a decent speed is probably going to put it back through the grill. My Westin just attaches with four 3/8" bolts. I wouldn't be surprised if they sheered and broke off in a collision. IMO, I wouldn't base your decision on a bull bar offering more protection.
