Default Boxed frame help

I am interested in mounting a new set of horns on a passenger side framerail. Is there any special procedure i need to go through due to the boxed structure? Can I use self tapping screws? Do I have to drill all the way through and use a bolt and nut? My friend with a silverado has a non-boxed frame, which made his install obvious, but we weren't exactly sure about mine.

Any Tips?

Are you really going to drill into your frame?

I would mount them somewhere else, expecially since you seem very leary(sp?) of voiding your warranty.

I would use plumbers straps and mount the compressor to the frame and mount the horns under the hood.

I've seen a guy mount them right infront of his radiatior, so that is always a option.

What makes you want to mount them to the frame in the first place?

Well one its wehre i have a lot of room cuz and a tranny cooler infront of below radiator/below ( i got the trailer tow package), and two, the horns are amplified from bouncing of the ground, and three, so no=-one can really see them ever, and i have a lot of room there, a lot of room

Drilling into the frame gives me an idea that ford could do whatever they wanted too.
