I think that’s a must with -44 @ 12 wide. You might be able to spread the crash bars with a porta power, but I’m pretty sure you ended up needing to remove them all together.

Yep i thought so, I am planning to remove the bumper and attempt to remove crash bar if possible before install to prevent cutting.

So I got a 6” BDS with Vertex coilovers + Fox 2.0 in the back installed this week. First off it rides great. I’ve only driven about 50 miles on pavement but noticeable difference on setting 4 over speed bumps and potholes.

I used a 4” block in the back and the nose is definitely higher. I’m going to give it some time to settle, but if it doesn’t level out I may change to 5” block and/or try to crank the coils down.

My installer said the combo provides an additional 1” of lift. I didn’t totally follow but something about the coilover being taller (vs spacer?) and the BDS drop being more than the Rough Country kit. Does that make sense to anyone?

Came out Nice, Love the wheels. I decided to hold off on the RC's since I have a 2wd. this I will attempyt to install myself also. 2WD is a lot easier then 4WD. I don't have to drop the Diff since its 2wd and may not have to cut my rear cross member from videos I have seen. the Fox DSC are fews weeks out. If they don"t arrive in june I will cancel and get the RC,s . will keep you posted ,

IIRC, bds has a 5” diff drop and RC has a 4” diff drop. I think the most you can get out of the vertex is 6.5” and RC supposedly sends them out at 6”, but, I’m sure if you call them twice, you’ll get 2 different answers.

@ actfit: since you plan on doing the install yourself, why not install with the spacer first? Ride it and see how you like it. I know a few people who have said the bds kit, with the spacer, rides very similar to stock. I really think for your application, the fox is waaaaaaaay overkill. Unless you want them to show out on folks. Then I can’t blame you for wanting them. And if the spacer doesn’t ride the way you feel it should, then throw some foxes on it. It will also give you a good comparison between the 2. And only cost another alignment.

I understand what you saying for the sake of a comparison however going into this I planned to go the route of coilovers. The spacers have never been an option for me. from my research the only reason fox is over kill is the price. Since the DSC are adjustable you can adjust them just like the Vertex, I know I can get the same results from RC at a lower price but I would feel better sticking w/coilovers made for the brand(BDS). I was willing to try vertex but it does not play well with 2wd. I am looking for the kind of ride that comes from coilovers and in my research it is 100% a different ride and yes, I also like the resi look. Although the install is easier since it is 2WD and I am willing to do my own install, I am far from a mechanic and will be doing the install w/ a friend more experinced. So once i do my install i will take it for an alignment and not want to really repeat the install.I do thank you for suggestion I just think it is more siuted for someone who is probably more of a wrench.

How you guys with the vertex coilovers liking them after getting some miles?
About to pull the trigger on the RC 6" lift with vertex coilovers and rears for a rediculously good price.
