You come in here and tell me this is the only design they made and your not sure what I seen in pics or video, then your offended when I prove otherwise! Lmfao!

Obviously the BAK rep doesn't know his product either. That's why he told me I have the updated version.

Just so you know, I don't give a chit if this cover is acceptable to you or anyone else for that matter. It's not what I want, and it's not what was presented by BAK Industries on BAKs own website. Clearly the owner makes a big deal of the fact that there is NO VISIBLE MOUNTING HARDWARE ANYWHERE ON TOP. That was the selling point for me!

Yeah maybe they changed the design I do have the two little "D" rings which are barely noticeable and I forget what function they serve but I have no issues with them. Mine do not have any mounting hardware visible like that other picture from the other poster. I bought mine in June of last year and it was also the reason I bought it since it looks so clean and sits flush with the truck bed.

Interesting, guess they have changed it twice then, cause the original didn't have d-rings or the bolt thru the top.

Nice truck by the way

I got mine in October and it has the two "buttons" visible and the D rings which are intended to be used with the two D rings on the underneath side so you can tie down the cover open with just the first section laying flat instead of propped against the cab.

The video states "No Visible Components."

If the product listed on the video doesn't match with what is being sold, it should be returned and the customer should be refunded or given credit towards another cover.

This is why I always use my Visa on purchases. If I have problems with a vendor/site/etc. they always credit my account.

Over react much?!

This could have all been avoided had you just saw it wasn't what you wanted and didn't install it. You did in stall it even though it wasn't what you wanted and now you want autoplicity to take it back and take a hit because they can't sell it as used?

That was your fault not autoplicity!

As to the video, it's such crappy resolution that it's hard to see if there are D rings and buttons but as no one has shown a cover otherwise there may not be any other styles.

Judging by how calm you are in your postings I'm sure the guy on the phone made a mistake under the inquisition and told you wrong info.

Overall, it's still the best and cleanest folding hard cover out there. I'll trade you my G2, it only has a couple D rings and the mounting hardware is flush with the cover, oh wait.......

Lmao, per the instructions you mount the rails before you ever mess with the cover. The only way to know the mounting bolts go thru the cover is to unfold the cover, which as instructed is done once the top is placed in the rails. Have selective memory much?

As for the video, lol, obviously your not only blind but deaf too.

Is it Autoplicitys fault? No, but there bs initial offer was just that, bs! If they had said they would contact the manufacturer from the get go I wouldn't of had any gripes about Autoplicity.

That's good, keep this thread alive, thanks!

Did I over react? yeah probably, but I started this thread after Autoplicity tried to resolve this on their own instead of contacting BAK first. I realize Autoplicity is just a vendor and I don't blame them for the product not being as advertised.

Honestly, even after I installed it I thought I had received the OLD version and BAK would be able to send me the new one. In no way did I think the version I received was a new design, most products that have less anything are usually updated designs not older. I simply thought BAK would swap out the cover as the rails would be the same. It wasn't till this all started that I learned that video was 2 years old.

Bottom line, after 10 days the hardware doesn't bother me as much as it first did. I would still prefer the older version but I've decided its not something I can't live with.

However, I still think BAK has a responsibility to update their product video instead of bragging about a design that is no longer used.

Who said it's not a big deal? I still think BAK has a responsibility to accurately promote their products. More importantly I found out their customer service sucks and will never buy another product of theirs again.
