Odd... only thing I can figure is whomever your vendor is they are waiting on their stocking order to ship to them and then shipping to you...

This is done sometimes because product is a bit cheaper purchased in stocking level orders... But those orders generally have a several week lead time due to their size.

Orders we placed last week for X4's have already shipped from BAK so it has to be something different for sure...

Sounds like you will get it soon though!

I bought through Tonneau Factory Outlet. They talked to the manufacturer and they are going to send out a new unit. In addition to the problems with the rails (one with paint damage and the other with broken metal pieces in the spring portion of the rail), it turns out the weatherstripping on the cover itself was pulled off. Likely all of these things could be fixed, but I am glad that a new unit is being sent.

I had the exact same issue with mine and from the same vendor. Took almost a month to get the the little spring arm sent to me.

I can recommend a vendor (hint hint: two posts up) but that may break some kind of forum rules.

I check my local dealer and they received them to Houston, TX distributor last Thursday. I ordered and got mine last Friday. Minor scratches showed on the end of the main rails so went ahead and installed. Looks great and hope the photos help other decided if X4 worth more than the X2 it replaces.

Thanks for providing pictures, it's always nice to see the product installed on a personal vehicle - Looks very clean. As mentioned, the only real difference between the X2 and the X4 is the X4 sports the matte black finish.... These pictures are a great example of how well that matte black compliments the factory bed caps on most vehicles.

Default My X4 review

So put on the x4 today and not impressed. It says that for the alignment the rubber should be dead even on all four corners with the rails. Hard to do when one is 1/8" shorter and the other 3/8" longer than the rails. Only slaps on one way so they can not be installed on wrong side... regardless, get it lined up best I can and all four corners show daylight from the inside ( not counting the tailgate side gap that is a Ford thing, not bak) the bak gaps are approximately 1/4" x 1/2 in the upper corners..easy fix with gasket material or silicone.
my other gripe is the metal shavings that fall out that we're not cleaned off in manufacturing process. Eventually I'm sure they will stop, rolled it up/ down a dozen times only to find and clean each time 100s of tiny scratch making Burr's.
last whiney comment is with the automatic tailgate opener on the Platinum, the cover restricts the function, so oh my, actually have to manually open my tailgate again
Maybe it will wear in over time, not a huge deal..that's it
