Jealous. I was told mine is on back order for a month. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the matte top. Also let us know if it seems more beefy in any way than the X2

The Revolver X4 Unboxing
Ok, took several pics, then a short video too to see the reflectiveness (or lack thereof). The X4 was well-packaged and survived FedEx trying to ding it up. There’s a very small scratch on one of the rails, but it’s not worth my time to return or even to repair (a touch of flat paint might be very obvious)
I’m impressed by the quality of this compared to my 2011 BakFlip F1. I hope the finish holds up. (I will *not* attempt to wax)

I had the installer out today to put in th X4, but unfortunately as he got partway into the process, we discovered that both side rails were damaged. One was just cosmetic, but the other side had a piece of metal that had snapped In half (the piece attached to the spring mechanism). So I will be calling the seller tomorrow.

I didn't have an X2 to compare it to. I am satisfied with what I see so far compared to the BakFlip F1 I had. I had no backorder. Mine was built 12/19. Bak website said they began to ship end of Jan/beginning of Feb and I only had to wait a few days.

I'm being told estimated ship date of Feb 19th, unless something changes. Three weeks and a couple days after placing order... Still looks like a great product and I understand that it just got released.
