Bak Flip Extang or Undercover - No Leaks!
Are any of these tri fold covers waterproof? I just ordered an Undercover and then came on here to look for reviews (yes, I know I did it backwards) and have discovered that the Undercover apparently leaks badly. I want the cover to be waterproof is possible. Do the Bak Flips and Extangs leak?

My Extang solid fold lets a drip through now and then but nothing that would affect items underneath.

Honestly, I've never seen a Tonneau cover that's totally leak-proof under all conditions. The only way to make a tonneau cover totally leakproof would be to seal the folding seams and edges with silicone sealant (which would make it unusable ). Just accept that most modern tonnneau covers will keep out 99 percent of water under most conditions. My new Extang Solid-fold is pretty water-secure and I've only seen a few drops enter when hitting the seams with the high-pressure hose at the car wash. I think it's fair that's all I can ask of it when it's designed to fit so many vehicles, is easy to open, and easy to take off.

I'm a truck driver in Detroit and extang is a big customer of ours, I've talked to the guys there in the past about their covers and they say that they put a lot of effort into making their covers as water tight as possible. That's just from talking to the shipping & receiving guys. I got one for my sons 09 f150 and he is very impressed with the fit and quality.

I'm a little late to the thread, but Undercover leaking? The Undercover COVERS your rails and tailgate and has a seal at the bulkhead. It's almost impossible for it to leak at all except at the bulkhead. The seal at the bulkhead works fine.

I went through 2 Solid Folds before settling on a BAKFlip G2. Both Solid Folds had very leaky hinges. The BAKFlip's hinges are water tight. I get a tiny bit of water at the bulkhead, but that is due to my drop-in liner.

Stage4,
The Undercover I am referring to is their tri-fold model. Apparently they just started making it awhile back and it leaks pretty badly. I ended up buying an Undercover solid tonneau that is painted to match my truck. Should be here in a few days.

OK, you were referring to the Undercover Flex, not the Undercover Classic, SE, or LUX.
