Backup Camera, DVD, Bluetooth, Ipod for under $500
Hey! Its been a while since posting here but thought I would throw out a quick review and some pics! I won $1000 bucks on a scratch off so the wife gave me the green light to blow half of it. Needless to say, that was easy.
If you have an iphone, I think it "Mirrors" the screen for navigational purposes...Other units will do it for android. I have android, but dont use navigation. The screen seems bright in the pics but I assure you its not. It is the perfect brightness. It does not blind me in any way shape or form at night.
Picked up a Kenwood DDX470 from Crutchfield and a backup camera from tailgatecameras.com
Total for everyting, including cables was right at $500. I installed myself. Camera was like $110, then Head Unit was $349, Ipod wire 10, RCA extension cables 10.
Overall, im very happy with the Unit. DVD picture is very nice, crisp and clear. Sound in my Truck has improved 10 fold of stock radio. I have kenwood door speakers, tweeters, and a P3 Shallow sup. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The SUB has really woken up now! And the unit allows full customization over tuning which is great.
Backup camera is clear. It does point down. I can see the top of my hitch which is perfect for me. About 5 minutes of practice and I know exactly which line I want to back up to when I do. Again, it points down, so you cant drive backwards, but its great for backing up into spots or to a trailer. I back in every time I go somewhere because people here dont know how to park and are A**holes when trying to get out...
If you have questions, dont PM me! Send an email to tripleselpaso@yahoo.com! Rock on!
