Default Backup Camera for 2013 Ford F-150 Lariat

I just recently purchased my 2013 Ford F-150 Lariat and I am needing to find out what the cost and brand recommendations to add a backup camera(s) inside my truck.

I live in the Midland, TX. area so if anyone knows a good company who is willing to professional install in the state of Texas... I am all ears.

Your truck should have come with one already.

Unfortunately I don't. I bought the vehicle from the original owner and it does not have a backup camera but has the ability for on to be placed in one pretty easy.

I just don't know if it is worth be going to the Ford dealership and getting one installed or going aftermarket.

If that's the case then it's not a 2013 Lariat because they all came with the back up camera under the oval emblem on the tail gate.

Or the tail gate was replaced with a lower trim level part. Even the 13 XLT 302A has the back up camera, I know because I have it.

We stock several different camera systems for your F150 that will be as close to factory as you can get. We just need to know a little bit more about your configuration so we can recommend a system. Here are the main configurations:

If you have the Ford Touch radio you will want this kit:

If you don't have the Ford Touch system then you will need to replace the rear view mirror with our Gentex OEM replacement with video screen:

If you are on a budget and would rather go with a universal monitor we can do a 3.5" dash mounted monitor for much less but you will lose that OEM look and feel. Let me know if you want to go this route and I'll point you in the right direction.

I can find an installer for you in your area as we have a few dealers in Texas. However I will say that most people can install the system themselves if fairly handy with a set of tools.

Give a call as we are always ready to help!

Is there anyway to get the backup camera to viewed through the main display? Seeing it on my rear view mirror would be a great option but want to consider all my options.

per Ford.com, the 2014 (yes I know he has a 2013) backup camera is optional.

to the OP, camera-source.com can get you running with a proper back up camera. depending on what system you're running will determine where the picture can be displayed.

When you say main display are you referring to the radio touch screen or the small 4 inch information center screen? If you have the touch screen radio then you can use the Mytouch lockpick as referenced earlier or also found here:

https://camera-source.com/products/f...=lariat-camera

If you are referring to the small mini-display then unfortunately there is nothing available that will allow you to use that screen for your display and would have to use the mirror or aftermarket monitor.

Don't hesitate to ask more questions!

Thanks,
