Default Back Up Camera

This is for the TaoTronics TT-CC17 Waterproof color CMOS Car License Plate Frame Mount Rearview Camera.

I bought mine from Amazon.com. I had seen another member on this forum say he was going to install it on his truck so I thought I would get it for my 2011 Ecoboost. It sold for $49.99. Made out of metal (Zinc metal casing). I got it installed last weekend and it works flawlessly. It has great night vision 8 infrared LED, 170 degree viewing angle WITH distance scale lines. It says it's waterproof but no rain or water on it yet so I can't attest to that.

I think it's a good product and I am happy with it. The view is also adjustable up and down (it has set screws for the adjustment) and comes with a little allen wrench.

What I like about a license plate camera mount is that the view is a perfect position for a birds eye view of what is behind me.

Hey Auggie. I mounted the monitor on the dash. Left side of steering wheel. Just tonight I did a fix to it because the velcro was coming loose from the monitor base when it got hot in the cab. The bottom velcro stuck to the dash good but the velcro under the monitor base was the problem. I fixed it be peeling off the material that was on the bottom of the monitor and I found a screw there so I screwed a piece of velcro there using the screw. Worked real good.

The camera on the license plate is real nice too. Today at Auto Zone I bought two bolts with nuts and lock washers (in a kit for $5.99). They are specifically for license plate frame cameras and have a special wrench to tighten them so you cant steel the camera.

Im loving the camera location perfect view behind me.

Your welcome. Yes it did. Spliced it into the drivers side tail light reverse wire. I used a quick splice and then liquid taped it.

Does the camera have the grid lines? What size display did you get. I've been wanting to get a back up camera since I bought my truck in the spring and was initially looking at a similar Boyo frame, but this is half the price.

Neat! How about some pix of the install, the monitor, and what you see in it?
