So are you saying those of us with the 2015 f-150 and the regular sync, can upgrade to the new version? OR this is just an update for the new version already to enable apples carplay

I'm pretty sure it won't work on the 2015, only 2016 and newer as you must have Sync 3, not MyFord touch. Sync3, not available on the 2015.

If the vehicle came equipped with the small screen and not the large touchscreen stereo is it just a matter of installing larger screen and then installing this or is there more to it than that?

I think you need the bigger screen but not 100% sure. I know for a fact you need sync 3 though
