HI, and thanks in advance. I am trying to determine the difference between where the factory steps height vs the AMP power step. I spoke to AMP today and they said the steps drop 13" from the bottom of the door sill. I went out and measure, and that seems very low putting the steps only a couple inches above the ground. It's quite possible I misunderstood what he said, but maybe someone here can provide a little feedback.
2017 Supercrew 4x2, stock height, factory running boards. May level the front at some point, but I tow so undecided. How far down and out to the step extend to? Not sure where to best measure...from the top of the door sill, maybe the bottom of the frame. I'd appreciate any feedback you might have. I am attempting to make entry/exit a bit easier for my vertically challenged wife.

You're welcome. Here's what I found. From the top of the step to the top of the door sill is right about 13 inches. However, the board is 1.5 inches tall so your total measurement would be about 14.5 inches from the top of the door sill down. Also, measuring outward from about the 8.5 inch mark on my tape measure in the above pic, you have about 5 inches to the edge of the board from the body. The top picture is pulling from the pinch weld under the door outward giving you about 9 inches to the edge of the board. Hope this helps.
Looks like you've got the best info already, but i wanted to add in general, that it will drop the height of the deployed step from factory fixed, as well as putting them out further than factory fixed.

My opinion, the factory power boards are almost useless, not sure of the actual inches they drop down but my guess would be about half of the Amp boards. Also like how the Amp boards are almost out of sight when retracted.
