Default Adding 360 cameras

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else, but I couldn't find this info.
I have a 2020 XLT that I have been doing small things to, like adding hill decent control, etc. (so I am familiar with Forscan a little bit.) I am wondering about the feasibility of adding front/side cameras to the truck. Has anyone done this? Is there anyone with an idea of how the system is set up? Is it all controlled in the APIM? are there extra modules involved? I had even considered hijacking the reverse camera, possibly by using the reverse signal wire that turns on the camera in the head unit and jumping it with a user-controlled 12v source so the head unit thinks I am in reverse, and then using a video switch to select, say, a front or side camera.
I am incredibly cheap, so I would probably not buy the OEM cameras. If it isn't doable, I will probably add a small screen on a bulletproof mount that I can use for this purpose, but after seeing the "magicbox" ads where they play netflix on the stock head unit, I figured there might be a way to have a cleaner, more factory look. And if the wires are already in the harness in a similar way to the hill decent, and I could just plug some stuff in and enable the features in forscan, that would be awesome. If anyone has experience with this and could point me in the right direction, I would be super grateful.
