Default 5.0 exhaust

I have a 2014 f150 was just wondering if i could get some advice on an exhaust system, i dont want anything really loud i just want something that sounds nice and makes my truck sound like a real truck I've been really interested in the Borla ataks they sound very nice but they are way out of my price range, anyone got anything for me?

I just removed my resonator and muffler today on my 5.0 2014 F150. It's loud. Slightly too loud for my comfort. I actually just posted a question about it. If you don't want anything to too loud, don't remove the res and muffler lol. Although I might put my resonator back on as I think that will calm it down a bit.

Not sure about a dual exhaust. Lots of variables of what you would want. Can get pricey I would imagine. It didn't cost hardly anything to get the muffler and resonator removed cause it was just cut out and replaced with a pipe. I'm going back in today to get the resonator put back on though.

I ordered a magnaflow 16" and the tips I liked from summit racing, then had a local exhaust shop bend and weld all the pipes together for me and delete the resonator. Under $500 for everything installed

Best cheap exhaust improvement is a muffler delete. $30 in pipes, and just an hour or two of time if you want to do it yourself. I think most autoshops will charge around $60/$70 to do it.

I did the muffler delete on my 5.0 and I've now lost the urge to purchase a full cat back (the muffler delete sounded better than I ever imagined). I DID keep the resonator though. That is key, without the res it is very loud and drones a bit, but the muffler delete has virtually no drone but sounds great during a cold start and when you get on the throttle.

On cold start, its got some volume. Once its warmed up its fairly quiet until you get on it. Overall tone is much deeper and has more of a grunt.

I prefer the borla s type to the atak, especially if you don't want something too loud, unfortunately they're the same price. IMO Magnaflows have a nice sound that isn't over the top and good old flowmaster 40 series have a "sophisticated rumble"
