Looking to undergo one of the first projects on my new truck this week.
I recently purchased a 2018 Fx4 lariat with the 501a technology package. I noticed my lights are dimmer than some other trucks that are on the road. They don’t have the halogen look as I didn't spring for the OEM upgraded lighting package. Please see attached pictures of my truck and headlights.
I was was wondering what the best way to upgrade the lights were. I don’t believe I need to replace the whole housing and am under the impression I can just replace the bulb. I have been looking through the forum and have found some good websites with great packages, such as F150LEDs.com. My question is how complicated can this process get. I would like a solution simply to replace the bulb and keep the original OEM housing and dust caps.
Does anyone have any feedback on the best way to go about this? Any recommendations on the proper bulb to use for that awesome clear light look with added brightness at night? I looked online and it appears I access the bulb through front wheel fender. Before I start messing with anything, I wanted to consult the experts on this forum.
Up close and personal view of the headlight for reference..

Awesome. Thank you for getting back to me. Will this bulb be a plug in play in the halogen housing already on the truck? I got into a habit hole on another forum that called out for a housing replacement. If the bulb is a plug and play this will be an excellent and easy first project! All in all it is overwhelming with the options I have been reading about.
did some further research on the Bulbs you recommended. This looks like it may be the best option from a simplicity standpoint. Thank you again for the recommendation.
