I think they might have bumped their head on some of those prices. I don’t think anyone is gonna make much of an “look” improvement on the grille aside from making a 2015-2017 Raptor version for the 2018. I have a limited which is the best looking aside from the STX, aside from those two grilled I don’t care for the other grilles available.
Since the Sport Lariat can't be ordered in Platinum White, I still have to have it painted to match. But in my opinion, it ties the front end together perfectly.

I recently purchased a 2018 F150 XLT FX4 in Guard with the "chrome package". The mesh part of the grille is silver plastic and looks like braces on a teenager in my opinion! Not really wild about it, but I do like the two "nostrils" which resembles the F250/350. Really wanted a 2017 (love THAT grille), which at year-end came with great rebates, but pickings were slim and most of the nice ones were either already sold or were on the "door latch recall" Hold with repairs "sometime in the first quarter but not sure". Got tired of waiting so the dealer gave me the same year-end discounts and rebates on the 2018 XLT FX4 the day before New Year's Eve.
Not wild about the front "silver braces" grille on any 2018 yet, but found out that I can swap out this grille for less than $300 for the XL grille which has the silver mesh part cast in black plastic (attached Ford advertising photo is of this XL grille). Yes, I could paint the silver part of mine, but it would have to be sanded down to remove the coating and there is no guarantee that bugs and debris would not continually chip it over time.
For me, this looks far better blacked out with the chrome bars "floating" over a dark background. This is the route I will go for now.
Mods I am making in addition to grille - adding 2017 F150 Platinum OEM 20" rims and 275x60 R20 tires, plus Pro Comp 2.5 level and Bilstein 5100s.
I have the 18 XLT FX4 that has the "sport bumper and grille. I like the looks of the Lariat white grille.
Thinking of painting the grill white. What do you think? Also would love to either wrap or paint it 2-toned.
