Default 2018 f150 12 volt solutions remote start

I have a 2018 f150 I purchased the 12 volt solutions remote start I installed it the remote start works but it’s making my truck throw a bunch of codes like check engine, traction control, e brake and steering wheel malfunctioning so I unhooked it an now the codes have cleared. So now Idk what to do any help would b greatly appreciated

I just installed the same remote start on my 2018 a couple weeks ago and don't have any of those issues. Are you sure the connectors were plugged all the way in? Plugging that t-harness into the factory plug took a good bit of force. My instructions were different than the video so I followed the written instructions.

Yea it was a little hard to push in but I pushed it in with some good force so idk but I did screw up the install process so I just restarted the installation process but then when I tried to start it I had the 7 red flashing lights so I had to look up that video and now it works but throws a butt load of codes.... I just don’t want this to screw my ford computer up

Probably best to leave it off and call them tomorrow when they are open. Or you might try messaging them on Facebook. Worth a try

I tried contacting them on Facebook they won’t respond cause it’s. It business hours but yes indeed I will b giving them a call maybe I got a defective unit idk... alls I do know is it’s a big pain in the **** that’s for sure

I would be interested in a followup because I have one on the way. It looks easy but I've been known to screw up changing a lightbulb in my bathroom.

I installed the other new remote start they sent me an shazaam it works 30 seconds it took to install now that’s how it should have been.. but 12 volt solutions customer service did a great job so 5 stars for 12 volt solutions great products takes seconds to install and if u ever run into a problem 12 volt solutions will solve it for you ! Very happy
