2014 Crew cab power tailgate lock wiring
This seems to be asked every year. I am a novice in modern truck wiring. I just traded my 2008 limited (the best) for a 2014 well equipped Lariat. I had the 4x4 decals removed (too used to the Limited lettering), looking for the right floor mats, and installing a power tailgate lock.
The instructions steered hard toward using the driver's side step plate area for wiring. It instructed to use Gray w/ tan stripe and light blue w/green stripe. Doesn't work. The only power that I get from the probe is when pressing the 'unlock' button. Nothing on the 'lock' button and no movement either way on the actuator. Anyone have experience with this year and model? Or guidance on checking power if I am doing it wrong? Any legible wiring diagram links? Thank you!
