Default 2012 f150 4x4 bilstein 5100 help

hello all. I recently purchased a pair of 5100 bilstein front shocks for my truck. I took off the strut assemblies and had a local shop swap springs over for me. They are on the 3rd setting. I finished them up and the truck rides horrible. It feels like it has no suspension. Had a buddy look at the truck when I go over a small bump. The coil
springs do not even move. Driving on roads you can’t go over 30, just so dangerous to drive. Does anybody have a idea or a way they could help me? Thanks very much

5100s are not a comfort-ride suspension item. they will always be more harsh than the stock items they replaced. your first step should be to contact bilstein directly and talk to them about it. they are the experts, they made the product.

if you don't have one yet i would *highly* suggest you look into the hellwig rear sway bar. it makes a world of difference when it comes to the rear end bouncing around.

Something is wrong, that's not the typical result of changing out the shocks and reusing the OEM coils. No matter the setting.

I would take it back to the shop that installed them make sure they were installed correctly. I have had two sets on my truck and have not had any problems. I installed mine myself though.
