Thumbs up 2011 f150 stock cat converter replacement

I have a 2011 f150 with the 5.0l. I got got some bad gas now the ford place tells me that the cats need to be replaced. Has anyone else had to replace their cats and what was the out come of going with aftermarket cats to cut back on cost. Also thinking about putting a programer on it to open this jewel on up.

I've done aftermarket cats on an older truck. There's a shop in my area that specializes in cat replacement. I was very satisfied. I'd be more particular with my 13. Don't actually know what I'd do. You might check the muffler shops. They may do aftermarket cats.

I had an 08 (4.6). got a bad batch of gas, one injector stuck open, and washed the cylinder clean of oil. after the new (used motor), found out the cat on one side was "bad".

took it to a local muffler shop. $400 for 2 universals, or $750 for 2 "factory" cats, installed. (i told them to replace both since i had higher miles.)

no computer issues with the universal cats, even with the edge evo i ran on it.
