Not true. I bought my truck out of state and they arranged everything and aid the taxes, registration and other BS for the state in which I live. The only thing they couldn't do was get me an inspection sticker.

Im wondering how you didn’t pay taxes. Ford requires the dealer to register the vehicle if it is sold in the United States. I haven’t heard of a state allowing registration without collecting tax.
PS. I sell for Ford and we are required to submit reg for the state it’s being titled in. I don’t know if a deal that would hand out an MSO and let you do it yourself...

Actually a dealer can. I was in the process of buying a Jeep from Koons. They told me they would collect all the sales tax for my home state and would do all the DMV work and mail me the plates. I believe they were in Maryland and I live in Tennessee.

This probably varies state to state, and probably dealer to dealer, when I bought my Boss I flew to Alabama to pick it up and drive it back to FL. The dealer didn't do anything with tax or tags and indicated they couldn't collect FL sales tax and since AL didn't require temporary plates I was on my way with my purchase paperwork, no tag and a brand new car. I'm honestly surprised I made it 750 miles with nothing but an AL dealer advertisement plate on the back but I did, not one officer even looked twice at me.
Once I took all my paperwork to the FL DMV I had to pay the sales tax.

^ I bought a new Jeep from Koons in Virginia a few years ago and they were also able to do the same thing. I live in NY and made the 7ish hour drive to trade in our current vehicle and pick up my wife's new one. They were able to collect all NYS taxes and fees. They even gave me my new NY plates. It was really convenient.
