'17s for msrp are not hard to find now if you don't want to wait.

I went by my dealer last weekend and looked at the avalanche 802A Screw they've had sitting on their lot for a month now. Right on the sticker $7500 "market adjustment". Good luck with that.

Well, after writing a scathing letter to my local dealer I received a phone call from the GM. In not so many words was basically told it's a premium item and Ford allows them to sell vehicles at whatever the market allows.

So, as much I don't want to, I'll be looking elsewhere. Plan is to find a dealer that I can order from at list.

It seems a little silly that at this point as some dealers seem to be more interested in showing off a vehicle than selling but that's their choice. Heck if you were selling your car and people were lined up offering you 5k more than you planned I bet you would not tell them no. No need to get bent over dealers asking price just move on and have some patience you'll get your deal.😀

I swear some people on this forum live in fantasy / hypocrisy land. You go on the classifieds here and people want $5K more than trade value for their used trucks but a dealer wants MSRP & people cry because they already make holdback wah.

Fact is for most dealers they only get 1 or 2 of these type of cars a year & selling them at MSRP brings in good money. They will not sell these like a Focus at invoice because they don't have to, its their money maker. If the market dictated invoice to sell them they would but people will pay sticker or more & so they will do just that.

The same thing is happening with the Civic TypeR with $20K markups. If some idiot wants to pay that then great. Most won't & the price will finds its level whatever that may be. That's what happened with the Acura NSX as well, you can get those for under MSRP all day because nobody wants one.

Fact is market sets the price, not what you feel the price should be because you are entitled. If you can't afford it / don't want to pay it, buy something else

This ^^^

Plus, having it on the lot draws people in, and they buy other things. It's ADVERTISING.

Good news, bad news.

Been to a couple Ford dealers, the first would sell at MSRP but low balled on my '16 XLT trade-in with only 12k miles on it. And would have to order it.

Second dealer.
The good news, the 2nd dealer actually had a Raptor in the lot on display for sale with all the options i wanted.
The bad news, the SOB's wanted $10,000 over MSRP and wouldn't budge.
They wanted a whopping $83k for it.

Told them to keep it!

http://www.windowsticker.forddirect....FW1RG5HFC00198

saw this one listed online for $5,000 off msrp. not going to post a link to the dealer site, since i don't know if that's against the rules or not, but if you want a black on black 802a SCrew, you can google the VIN and find it.

nevermind, i just looked at the sticker and realized their $5,000 off price IS sticker. scumbags.
