Default engine died and would not restart

2017 Raptor Ecoboost engine stopped at red light as is typical. At green light engine failed to start and smoke (electrical frying smell) emitted from under hood. It is still under warranty (less than 3K miles) so back at dealers. Has anyone experienced this? Quite embarrassing to have a brand new vehicle towed.

Okay, Dealer reportrd fried Starter connections, but the saga continues... next day after repair this brand new 2017 RAPTOR failed to start. BACK AT DEALERS AWAITING "A NEW BATTERY" HOWEVER, waiting a week for a new battery does not sound right. something else is likely going on

A week for a battery that is B/S--tell them to take a battery out of another raptor, Im betting it has the same battery as any truck out there on the lot! Think I would make an appearance to your dealership and get the scoop

Check the wiring harness on the driver's side near the turbo. Been a few reports of wires burning through and shorting out.

Interesing! I turn my start/stop off every time I drive mine. Honestly, I would permanently turn it off if I had the option. Hate they put that on these trucks.

I know this post is a month old, but what was the verdict? I know I had to take my raptor in for the oil pan leaking oil.
