Upgrading to Raptor

Have had my 14 lifted fx4 from new and absolutely have loved her. Told the wife I'd drive it till the wheels fell off.. this weekend in the desert wasn't far off. Pulled up at our normal camping spot about 25 miles into the dunes. When I got out and walked around I saw a lugnut sitting in the sand. Thought to my self thats a bit unusual..... the realised it was one of mine.. wtf!!! How it fell off right there about 10 feet behind where I stopped the truck, also had another 3/4off and one 1/2off all on same wheel. Just had some serious work done including tranny rebuild plus uca and lca replacements. Apparently the idiots at the garage also had issues with my wheels as they are aftermarket but failed to pass that info to me. So now am in the market for a new vehicle. Not putting any more cash into the old girl as much as she has done me well.

Want a off road capable ride but with service and warranty without having to mod it out. So will be trading in my 150 and my wife's old 2019 chevy trailblazer that she hated and I had to replace anyhow for her new purple charger... looked at the ram rebel and gmc at4 but prices aren't that much different than the raptor so the Mrs has give me the Green light for a raptor. Plenty of stock here and all the locals are waiting for the 21's so deals to be had... can't wait as wanted the Raptor since it came out.....

They are really nice off roading. If you buy one look into Raptor Assault in Salt Lake UT. You can go to the course for free, you need to pay your way there and for food while you are there. I had a great time running the mountains and doing the Baja course they set up. The best part is the last thing you do during the day is Jump one.

With that said. If you plan on towing with it, watch your weight. These are made for off-roading not really towing. I have towed 7000 pounds with mine with out an issue. I traded it in on a F250 last month because I needed to tow 14K pounds.

It is worth it to Jump one(-;

These trucks are made to run the dunes.

For a lower than Raptor price, the upcoming F150 Tremor sure looks to be a possible contender???

Normally I don't go for the "look a likes" as they usually are just a few trim pieces and some tires but after seeing the videos and description on the 2021 Tremor, I would give that a look.

Just a thought...

I’m waiting to see pricing for an 800a raptor vs mid or high tremor. They may be very close in price.

i currently have a Bronco reserved, but not sure if i’ll follow through, or upgrade my 2015 f-150 to a Raptor or Tremor.

Pulled the trigger yesterday and put a deposit down on a 2020 Supercab in Leadfoot. Got a pretty good deal on both trade in and price. Any mods will be aftermarket as wont pay the ford price for accessories. Need to source a tonneau cover and a couple of other bits and pieces... Hopefully have the keys in hand by next week.. Everything here seems to take much longer than it should...

Nice :thumbsup: That's the first Raptor I've seen that doesn't have the factory tinted rear windows.
