seems kinda cool but i still am kinda skeptical on a twin turboed V6 in a 6000lb off-road truck. i think it would be cool in like a FX2 street truck but it seems like it would be just more complicated stuff that wont last in hot and dirty climate of the desert. i know they have twin turboed engines in desert buggies and stuff, but thoose guys practicly rebuild there stuff after every race. and i still wanna know how high you have to rev before you see thoose HP and torque numbers. if it works though then thats pretty sweet and probably will save a bunch on weight and maybe even gas.

They say the EB torque curve is smoother than the v8 engines of today. It kicks in right at 1800rpm, and stays constant to about 5000rpm. And as far as longevity of turbos, if built right, i wouldn't worry about it at all. many semi trucks are truboed, and those last damn near forever (yes, i know, diesel vs. gas). It just comes down to how well its built, and how it all comes out in real world. Can only guess/speculate/make up crap until then.

Either way, I would not buy the first year or two out the gate, lets see how it performs and holds up first IMO.

I've heard that the next generation of Police cruisers are getting these engines (3.5 twin turbo). It would be interesting to see how they endure and hold up. I just got my 2010 FX4, so by the time this one is done I'm sure there will be even better tech stuff out...

supposedly this is a test and proof of concept that this engine can handle this kind of stress, I am skeptical also. But if this engine truly is the greatest thing since sliced bread then so be it.

Well the engine has been out for almost a year so far. in the Taurus, Flex etc.

so I truely hope it is what they say it is. There is quite a bit of hype about it.. as well some nasayers..

Only time will tell
