Sony vs B&O - Fake Engine Noise
I just went from a ‘17 Lightening Blue Raptor to a ‘18 Shadow Black Raptor. On the ‘17, the Sony system had a sub out, so I added a sub box with 2 10” subs and an amp under the rear seats. It really sounded good, with deep bass. When I traded, I took out the amp and sub and had it installed into the ‘18. Come to find out, the B&O does not have a sub out so the stereo shop had to tap into the system with a filter for high frequencies. Now I have the fake engine noise going through the sub and it doesn’t sound as natural when you get on it. It has an annoying drone....
i took it to the dealer today to have them shut it off, but they hadn’t dealt with that before and couldn’t see where to do it. I personally know the tech, so I know he wasn’t blowing me smoke. Does anyone know how to do it without using Forescan? I would really like to shut it off and keep my sub. Thanks in advance.

My assumption is he just tied into the sub out used by the Sony sub. The B&O system does not have a sub, that why I have the issue I do. I honestly can’t believe it doesn’t have a sub? In this day and age, all premium stereo systems should come with some kind of a sub!

The other day, I pulled my sub amp out and adjusted the low pass xover down and it made a noticeable improvement. I don’t have that low drone. The fake engine noise is now deeper, but not really annoying like it was. I can live with it now....

Mine has a sub, right where the Sony was on my other truck, behind the center back seat.
