sacrilege? anyone modded their Raptor for pavement performance?

i say buy what you want and make it what you want. 99% of the raptors around here dont see a dirt road, so i dont see a problem.
a lowered raptor would be pretty cool. wider stance for handling, 4 wheel drive for drag launches.
the day someone buys me a truck, then they can whine about what i do to it. until then, i build vehicles for me, and my taste. don't like it? build something better yourself

Agreed that the suspensions are very different but keep in mind my reply was to your mention of "very little real off-road use". At 6,500 ft both the Raptor and Limited with their same H.O. engines would incur the same high-altitude constraints. But, (IMO) it would be much easier to make a few mods to the Limited for snow driving with the proper tire set than it would be the inverse on the Raptor for mostly highway driving.
One crucial element in my decision between Limited and Raptor was the engine rumble...if you appreciate the Raptor's throaty engine/ exhaust roar it's a no-brainer; whereas I do not appreciate the added exhaust and engine rumble - over 10 decibels louder at highway driving, so the Limited was a better choice which I sincerely do not regret. Back in Dec 2018 it was close to impossible to locate and purchase the 2019 Limited. Dealerships had an abundance of 2019 Raptors. Some dealers marked up the Limited's and Raptor's sticker prices with the usual BS add-ons while a few others were even discounting both models. Not sure if it's currently easier the purchase a Limited with a discount - or a Raptor for that matter but either way, best of luck.

That would be the limited that has the HO engine - but the same suspension as any other F150 , which needs to be changed out to Bilstein 5100 as a minimum as a first step to have any sort of decent handling.....
and of course conditions at 6500’ in the mountains are a bit different from FL.....

OK, i know I am going to get flamed here but honestly I am not trolling!
I am considering replacing my 16 Lariat with a Raptor. But I have to be totally honest, it would see very little real off-road use. (Plenty of winter/snow use since I live at 6500' in the mountains) . So really I would prefer to optimize a raptor more towards on-road performance (Lariat has 20s, 5100s and ARB so decent road manners) . So, has anyone done anything along the lines? Any thoughts? and no, I dont want a Limited...

If you really want a “street” truck, get the limited and start there. I loved my raptor on the street. Sure, it has a high center of gravity, but it felt poised even so. What I like most about raptors on the highway is the feeling of security that comes with dealing with oops situations where you may have to rip down the median if things hit the fan around you. But, if you want to lower it, etc, limited. As others have said, it’s a cheaper route mod-wise.
