Default regular or premium fuel???

What fuel are you fellaz using for you 2017 raptors? I just switched over to premium 91 octane. Not sure if it is worth it. Manual states regular but for performance, use 91?

Oh boy, here we go again. This is a very very touchy topic on all forced induction / Raptor forums. Manual says it will run fine on 87 octane, but you may notice a slight performance decrease under certain conditions, such as towing and hot ambient temps. The reason for this is spark retard (engine will retard the spark timing to decrease peak cylinder pressures for safety, and reduce NOx emissions). So you can safely run 87 with no issues, but if you want full power capability at all times (or live in a hot/high altitude location) it is better to run 91/93. Bottom line is, you won't hurt your engine at all by running 87 regardless of what people say on here.

I personally run 89 or occasionally 91 in my G2 Raptor.

Forgot to add, I think I recall reading about a 10hp difference between 87 and 91 octane on the Gen 1 Raptor (at peak power).

Yep. I remember reading that in the manual with my '11. With premium it had 411hp but with regular only 401hp I think it was.

Does the manual for the new ones say anything like that?

I am going to run premium. If I can waste this much $ on a truck what's another $0.30 a gallon? lol.

Why try to save money on fuel for a performance vehicle? I recommend that you use premium from a top tier gasoline supplier. Don't buy the cheapest crap you can find. I have the 3.5 ecoboost (not the Raptor unfortunately), and it makes a huge difference to buy good gas and not the cheapest.
