How much was the Applique did you get it mounted yet? I picked up my Raptor a few days ago and have the plain tailgate.

I'm getting Avalanche with the appliqué (just so happened to have it, I was indifferent). I wonder if anyone has tried to plasti-dip or powder coat the appliqué in body color to make it blend?
This one was posted on the forum. I think it looks good this way. I am putting one on my Race Red XLT Sport SE and was thinking of painting it to match and then doing the letters in Black. But will probably do it as originally planned, in satin black. When and if you remove it to paint, it is held on with push in clips and 2 bolts/studs. You will have to remove access panel on the tailgate to get to the nuts.
Applique came today. I can see now why it takes a different tailgate. Friend at body shop said to take off back part, the 2 pieces are held together with double sided tape and clips. It was a bit of work but now I will be able attach to tailgate with double sided tape and won't damage tailgate. Will be filling in indentations where badges were and then painting satin black. Might possibly do the letters in red, haven't made up my mind yet.

Still not installed. I did remove the Raptor badge and filled the indentation. Been real busy putting new motor in my 1950 F1 and working on wife's 57 Chevy Nomad. Hopefully I'll get the applique done before much longer.

Got the engine done in the F1. Still working on Nomad, but no applique on the back of my truck yet. Now you can buy the applique without the badges/indentations ready to tape on. I should have waited. Just got to get off my rear and get some things done. I just ordered brake kit and my Katzkins are waiting for me to install. I'm still going to do the applique, I'm going to check on getting it wrapped. Sorry no pics yet.
