Totally agree with the resale thing.

And I know we've been over the not limited production thing..... they aren't limited like gt350s/gt350rs aren't limited. Just go down to your local ford store and order one, you should have it in 6 weeks right?

Well, right now we have the perfect storm of allocation based on estimates, a very successful marketing campaign, very successful previous model and greedy dealerships.

It will level out. Right now they are 'limited' because they can't make them fast enough. It won't always be that way.

I understand. What are the issues preventing ford from making more than they are now? Parts shortages? (Besides carbon fiber and beadlocks)

What information is it out there to say they aren't limited? Besides the one random quote from a year or so ago...

I should have said under-estimated allocation.

That's the only info I have to go on - the Ford Performance rep that said they would build as many as are ordered.

Allocation has nothing to do with orders. At least not on the same timeline. Allocations are based on estimates made AFTER a years sales numbers come in. Orders are random and based on individual want in real time.

The statement was, "Ford will build as many Raptors as are ordered". I don't even see the word 'allocation' in there, do you?

Believe it or not, there's FAR more info on the Raptor Forum... Hameedi and other SVT / FP engineers and Reps have done Q/A sessions.

Here is an info thread:
http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f260/...-thread-47473/

There are several Q/A sessions in the archives, feel free to educate yourself.

Instead of posting stupid memes, you might try reading what I said.

Allocation and orders are two different things. Orders can and do impact allocation but allocation does not limit orders. If it did, Ford would only sell what was estimated vs true demand. It's not a hard concept really. Allocation will change over time based on demand. Demand is determined not only by how long inventory remains on the lot but also by orders.
