Right. No one knows, and anyone that says they do is not being truthful. This is the first time that the Raptor has been sold in this manner. I also agree that if it sells as expected, blowing through dealer allocations, that more and more will get made and prices will fall. I expect that at some point Ford will even put it into the A/Z/D plans. Pure speculation on my part though.

You can find below msrp pricing now, you just have to hunt for it or have an in/relationship with a dealer. You could get the 1st gen for invoice in several places during 10-14 model years, with many selling for 1,000-2,500 under msrp. Incentives never applied to raptor and rebate information I've seen say they aren't applicable to 2017 raptor. While I would think that next year you may be able to find below msrp pricing more common, nearly all are going for msrp with many going 5,000 + over this year. Hopefully the more money than brains club will buy theirs this year and over msrp won't be common anymore.

Based on the forums, many dealers have sold their allocation for the year. Now ford did state once that they will build as many as they have orders for, but the regional reps have told dealers that their allocation is all they get for 2017.

Take all of this with a grain of salt as this vehicle isn't really out yet and who knows what Ford's future plans are with regards to how many they are going to make.

Correct. Svt is gone and has been rebranded as ford performance.

I would give up on it if they announce that they only build a limited amount of trucks for one year. But it does not make sense since the competition between manufacturers could only get worse, they should sell as many as they can as long as they have the capacity to build.

True SVT as a division name is gone and replaced by "Ford Performance Division." Not true, the Raptor is just another trim level of F-150. It is as different, and more so than the SVT version was to the standard F-150 line.

Default Two Dealers Visited

I have bought a few different Fords and usually work with two dealers in the area. The first one I visited (end of Sept) had 10 orders already and wouldn't budge from the $5k deposit and MSRP so basically $5k over MSRP. The other dealer I worked with said they had a couple orders and were doing $5k over MSRP as well. I had bought my last car from them and I went to the same sales guy.. he said he was able to get the $5k over MSRP waived so I put a deposit down that will go towards MSRP.

First time I have ever paid MSRP but still pretty excited.

I called dealers all over the county, some are really sticking to their guns and not going lower than 5k, others have offered me 4k, and another offered me $2,500. I was eventually able to get it at MSRP (which I am fine with). But it took a lot of calling and in the end I had to go to the dealers in person and talk to the managers. I would recommend going to the dealer in person. Over the phone you don't have much leverage, and all of us are calling dealers all over America asking for the same thing.
