Default Raptor or Lariat build up...??

Cant get the F150 out of my head. I want it...! Cant Lease the Raptor! No incentives on the Raptor! No news here to anyone familiar. Each time I "Build" a Lariat and factor in some nicer rims/wheels and a Lift/Leveling kit.. Im either "at" or "above" the cost of a Raptor... How do I proceed? Im not opposed to a nice Lariat but for that $$ am i missing out on not going Raptor...?? The Lease option of "other than Raptor" is nice but i plan on having the truck for the long term. Any thoughts? Thx.

When I bought my truck I went with the lariat as it was mainly going to be a work truck. Looking back I wish I had went with the Raptor. Don’t be like me.

what about the Lariat made you regret not getting the Raptor....?

Both nice trucks with obvious differences but with price tags no so far apart.... ?

Just curious...

If you are looking at long term why lease?

In some circumstances a lease can be used for a tax write off.

If you don't mine the 3.5 Eco, just get the Raptor. Even if you build up a Lariat, it won't be as nice as the Raptor. The main reason I see people getting a Lariat or others over a Raptor is if they tow with any frequency or if they want a V8. You could build an XLT into a Raptor conversion for less than the Raptor, but the Lariat would be pretty close in price. So I'd just get the Raptor. I have driven both the Gen1 and gen2 Raptors, and they are some of the nicest trucks I have driven.

I am seeing a lot of 2018 CPO Raptors with 5000-7000 miles. Asking price is around $60k, My guess is you could buy for $55k. With the extended warranty for a CPO that looks attractive.

For a business write off longer than 3 years does not make any sense. Not sure if it still applies but it used to be than vehicles with a GVW over 6000 lbs could be fully written off in 12 months.

Buy a gen 1 raptor instead of building.. That way you keep your resale value if you want to sell in the future. A built up truck will only get maybe 30-50% of the value you put into it
