Raptor handling on pavement

I was wondering how other raptor owners feel about the handling on pavement on sharp corners. I feel like when you try to push it thru a sharp corner, the raptor does not seem to really like it. I can really feel the body weight and the body roll, along with the tires squealing. I was wondering if this is a product of the height, the off road suspension, and the 17 inch tires. It just does not feel sure footed on sharp corners.

when I really noticed it is a few weeks ago I was test driving a LX 570, 6100 pounds, and the LX 570 , which is not known for being a caynon carver, felt more sure footed around sharp corners. I was also in a 2018 Lincoln Navigator today and had a chance to drive it and I felt the same feeling. The raptor almost feels like it wants to roll over on off ramps and on ramps.

just curious if anybody else feels the body roll on sharp corners ?

I apologize guys I JUST FOUND OUT WHY :

LX 570 SKID PAD = .73 G

RAPTOR = .71 G

THAT EXPLAINS THE HANDLING ISSUE/FEELING.

Physics. Yes, the higher center of gravity, softer off road suspension and wheels/tires obviously compromise on-road performance. Don't try to drive it like an M3 and you'll be fine. (Although it is probably better on road than an M3 would be off road.)

Take solace though that it'll probably ride smoother on the road than a regular F150. Sure will sound better stock for stock too.

by the way, that new Navigator is a sweet machine. They did a GREAT job with it.

An offroad truck has alot of suspension play on corners...on pavement... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Ford had no desire to design it as a pavement princess. If you bought a Raptor, and dont like the ride quality, and compare to a Lincoln...you probably should not have purchased a raptor.

take the front up a notch, it will have a positive impact on handling. Gen 1 - go to mid perch. Gen 2 use one of the perch collars.

The Raptor is not bad on the road. Actually corners better then I expected it too. Above my 2013 XL (5.0L) 4x4 Supercab (heavy with V8 over front wheels) but not as good as my 2015 XL (2.7L) 4x4 Supercab. It feels like a bit like big 4 wheeler. I find myself aiming for potholes and bumps now.
