Hello all,

after 9 years of lariat 150 I’m looking at the new 2023/2024 37 raptor at a local dealership. I’ve test drove some used already but the exhaust is noisy even with the quiet mode. Is there anyway to make the raptor quieter

the problem is not the sound is loud i love the sound of ford mustang , 1990 GMC , Raptor 2014, …. maybe I didn’t explain it well
imagine that you are on the road and open the rear right window the sound is not loud but it will cause you a headache.

Maybe because it’s not a natural breath

 

If I only open rear windows, the noise on a quiet vehicle, the buffetting gives me a headache. opening both rear windows is twice as bad. open a front and a rear window. Is it better?

 

Update

I have tried another raptor but not on the road and there issss a clear difference between baja and quiet mode it’s seems the issue related to the old raptor that i have tested i think the mode always on baja and the exhaust never closed to quiet mode.

 

This is what I’m hoping for. Rain is gone so I’m going to climb under and see if I have an old setup. If it’s just the valve, that’s looks like something i can tackle without a service visit. I’ll post a picture and update accordingly. Hopefully that will resolve it Speed Test https://vidmate.bid/ .
